I hope this message finds you well and perhaps enjoying some summer sunshine. I wish to update you before I share the update on Linkedin, I've been going through some exciting changes, both personally and professionally. I wanted to take a moment to share these with you, my valued Data Pearls community.

Life's Little (and Big) Surprises

June was quite a month for me. I:

1. Became a father for the third time (sleep is now a luxury!)

2. I celebrated my 40th birthday (apparently, I'm now "experienced")

3. I concluded my tenure as Head of Data Platform at idealo

That's a lot of change in a short time, and it's led me to think deeply about what's next.

From Data Platforms to... Garden Plots?

Amidst all this change, I've found myself spending more time in my vegetable garden. There's something incredibly grounding about nurturing plants, watching them grow, and eventually harvesting the fruits (or in my case, peppers) of your labor.

As I tend to my pepper plants, I can't help but draw parallels to data strategy:

• Both require patience and consistent care

• The right environment is crucial for growth

• Sometimes you need to prune to promote overall health

• The result can add a lot of spice to life!

And yes, if all goes well, I'll have some homemade hot sauce to share by the end of the growing season. Who knows, maybe I'll even name a flavor after a particularly spicy data insight!

What's Next?

As I embark on this new chapter, I'm excited to focus on helping growing startups and small companies unlock the full potential of their data. Much like tending to a garden, I believe in cultivating data strategies that are:

• Aligned with overall business goals (you don't plant tomatoes if you're craving peppers)

• User-friendly and impactful (like a well-organized garden plot)

• Focused on ROI and usability (every plant should earn its place)

I'm looking forward to working with organizations where I can make a significant impact, particularly those with up to 300 people. It's about finding the right fit where my experience can truly help a company grow.
